The Brielle and PSS Circle of Care are Hosting a Free Caregiver Conference

October 19, 2018 | News | Reading Time 2:00 Minutes

The Brielle and PSS Circle of Care are partnering to host a free Caregiver Conference in celebration of National Family Caregivers Month.

While the conference is geared to New York caregivers, the general public is invited to gather at an educational space to celebrate themselves, and to acquire critical information about community support and resources as well as free services to which they are entitled. It’s all taking place on Friday, November 9, at The Commons at 145 Friendship Lane, Staten Island, at The Brielle from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.

“We will all become caregivers at one point in our lives. More than 1 million New Yorkers are unpaid family caregivers looking after a family member who is frail, chronically ill or has some form of memory loss. Our hope is that this conference will show the Staten Island community that help is here,” said Jennifer Sanchez, Care Consultant for PSS Circle of Care.

The conference will include exhibitors that serve caregivers and their families. The sessions include information about services not only crucial to the caregivers, but also to their loved ones on topics such as Self-Care, Nutrition and Community Resources.
