The Brielle to Host Family Options Resource Event

Open to Public to Serve Individuals with Special Needs, their Families and Caregivers

Designed to assist area families and caregivers in helping older adults with special needs, The Brielle non-profit assisted living and memory care community on Staten Island is teaming with the Huguenot Park Library to present a ground breaking initiative. They are combining resources to help provide the necessary tools to help older adults and individuals with exceptional needs lead productive and active lives. The Family Options Resource Event will be held on October 5th and welcomes the public.

“We are very pleased to be teaming with Huguenot Park Library to provide a wide variety of resources and approaches to meet the complex challenges that elderly individuals, their families and caregivers face almost every day,” said The Brielle General Manager Michelle Barger. “We will have professionals and vendors from a broad range of assistance services to explain options, opportunities and assist people to find solutions. Serving the residents and their families with the best in care and support is among our highest priorities.”

The Brielle is managed by Solvere Living, which also provides the community with its proprietary wellness philosophies Salus™ and Valeo™. Salus, Latin for well-being, is a holistic approach that focuses on each resident’s potential to achieve his or her personal goals through engagement and connection. Valeo, Latin for to thrive, focuses specifically on wellness initiatives for those with memory impairments and incorporates components that examine residents’ social, intellectual, spiritual, and physical well-being.

Featured experts at Family Options Resource Event include representatives from the housing arena, health and wellness field, mobility, assistive devices, finance, estate planning, MSC and Medicaid service providers. Also presenting will be professionals from the retirement industry, fitness field, adult agencies for individuals with special needs, recreation, home security, diet, nutrition and more.
