Heartfelt Connections—A Memory Care Program™

The Brielle features the renowned Heartfelt Connections—A Memory Care Program™, a person-centered approach grounded in the belief that the abilities that remain are far more important than those that are lost.

Our team employs reminiscence tools to help residents’ family members capture the details of residents’ lives—their careers, hobbies, likes and dislikes. We then apply the insights gained from each life story to create an individualized care plan that promotes physical and emotional well-being, prolongs daily functioning, and helps maintain a sense of purpose, satisfaction, and quality of life.

Respite Care & Short Stay Program

At The Brielle, we understand that being a caregiver can be
extraordinarily rewarding. We also realize that there may be times when a home renovation could make caregiving safer, a well spouse could benefit from time to recover from their own knee replacement surgery, or perhaps some time could help an adult child to recharge and return refreshed. That’s why we designed our Short Stay Program.

We’ll take care of everything — from a fully furnished private room, to daily nutritious meals, to medication administration, and beyond — as well as access to all the services and amenities The Brielle has to offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

While both assisted living and memory care provide assistance with the activities of daily living—such as help with showering, dressing, grooming, and medication management—memory care at The Brielle offers a specific type of compassionate Alzheimer’s care and dementia care that is specially designed for those with memory impairment. In addition, memory care residents live in a specifically designated “neighborhood” designed for safety, security, and socialization.

Memory care at The Brielle provides a specially designed, whole-person approach to Alzheimer’s care and dementia care. Residents live in a warm and friendly, family-like neighborhood with the safety of 24-hour onsite staffing and the loving care of highly trained personnel who implement proven memory care programs that encourage and celebrate remaining abilities. It would be virtually impossible to duplicate this level of round-the-clock safety, sense of community and socialization, and specific expertise in Alzheimer’s care by using an in-home care service.

Medicare covers some costs of memory care, such as prescription medications through Medicare Part D. However, it does not cover the cost of residing in a memory care community.
